About Me
Tom Shockcor is the founder and president of Shockcor, Inc. He began his real estate career in 1986 as a commercial broker and appraiser after earning a B.S. degree in finance and real estate. In 1989 Tom purchased his first multi-family property in Denver’s depressed economy. The property was in an area experiencing high crime related to drugs and prostitution, which led him to the founding Denver’s first community policing program in 1991. He also created John’s TV, which ran on Denver’s channel 8 thru 2010. Tom branched out and started Shockcor, Inc. in 1992 after quickly discovering a niche and achieved success assisting clients with the acquisition, management and disposition of distressed properties. Tom has closed on a total of more than $350 million in transactions as either broker or principal and has managed over 5,000 residential and commercial units. In addition to real estate, Tom enjoys entrepreneurship in general, his family and living in the country with the horses, alpaca, chickens, dogs, and other critters his wife Jennifer brings home!
